Javed Afridi is one of the most famous personalities in our country, and the CEO of Hair Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi, and also the key stakeholder of MG cars, teased the Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV (Electronic Vehicle) for the Pakistani market. In one of his tweets, he said that “WULING MINI EV FOR PAKISTAN MARKET BELOW 1 MILLION PKR COMING SOON”.

The upcoming Chinese Mini Electric Vehicle car in Pakistan has emerged as China’s most favorite EV. The recent research shows that the total sales bracket for the Mini EV adds up to 40,000 plus and breaks previous records. It’s a four-seater electric car produced by Liuzhou Wuling Motors in collaboration with General Motors and SAIC Motors. At least 160,000 units were sold between July 2020 and January 2021 and beat the record of Tesla Models as the most selling EV in the world.

Furthermore, the SAIC-GM-Wuling group estimates that Wuling will sell roughly 50,000 Mini EVs in the near future, according to the vehicle’s continually expanding demand. As the petrol prices vary on daily basis, so this upcoming Mini EV is going to hit Pakistan as well.

We have two models in Mini EV, the Base model and the Superior model. The base model has a 9.2 kWh battery pack and a range of 120 kilometers, and the Superior model has a 13.8 kWh battery pack and a range of 170 kilometers. Both variants featured the same powertrain, a 13 kWh single electric motor with 17.4 horsepower and 85 Nm of torque.

The Mini EV comes standard with ABS brakes, tire pressure monitoring sensors, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, power windows, a sound system, 12 storage compartments, and 741 liters of trunk capacity when the back seats are folded down. It does not have airbags, which limits its appeal slightly.

The price bracket of this Mini EV is under a million rupees, so it could be a successful car in Pakistan. The audience could get value for money.
